At age 18, Horst found the means to create electronic music as a solo project with AudioMulch and was immediately addicted. Since then, Christopher's hunger for musical |
inspiration has become great while exploring Coil, Stars of the Lid, Tim Hecker, Indian Raga, IDM, and everything Hip Hop from Three 6 Mafia to Quasimoto.
As the instrumentation changed and the software evolved, Horst has pushed music to the brim, instituting a wide range of influences and a rebel spirit that makes him unique and unwilling to conform. As his Beta Project moniker, he has journeyed through Industrial, Breakbeat, IDM, Ambient, and Hip Hop. With this comes a culmination of his influences, entitled Black Psi Op however, he is not done, in the future we will all view his range through a million different eyes as new monikers are born and new sounds are discovered through Chris Horst, Beta Project.
