Various Artists
RaceCarProductions presents Volume 1
RCP 001 | 09.14.2006

  1. Mossmoss “Chobicks”
  2. Bernstein “Bep”
  3. Evan Scott “Crane Fist”

Playful and glitchy yet jacking, Chobicks is sure to ignite dance floors everywhere with raw 8-bit synths and pulsating beats. Chobicks re-inserts the joy often times devoid of the genre of minimal techno. It proves itself effective at all hours of the evening.

With its deep, bass-heavy, swinging, machine-like percussion, and impeccable drum beats, Bep is everything minimal techno should aspire to be. Rolling basslines, ascending intensities and seamless transitions make Bep an unstoppable force in the realm of electronic music.

Inspired by the Martial Arts film genre, Crane Fist is a lush, mental soundscape that fights as much as it sooths. Crane Fist is one of five tracks from the forthcoming mini concept album called Five Style Fists from producer Evan Scott. Spooky and menacing, Crane Fist’s dark, minimal composition hints at the Kung Fu stylings that originally inspired it.
