Die Haustiere Carpiato released: 2008-07-30 catolog #: RCP 011
We found a few tracks in an attachment that refused to be ignored. Before we knew it Die Haustiere were our best friends. This is the first single from our Italian brethren, with hopes of more to follow. Die Haustiere’s unapologetic enthusiasm for industrial wails and pleasurized samples deftly blends a prurient techno sensibility along with a raucous injection of innovate pop gurgles. "Carpiato" is a sandwich of ethereal reverb and delicious cacophony, beginning like a symphony of automatic, sliding doors, and ending with a tale of epic proportions. Stand clear. Italian bubble baths gone wild. "Danneggatio" is a mélange of dance and bathtime, fraught with delicate beats, bubbles, and bursts of fluid notes that lather the ear and deposit dulcet residues. As the track waxes on, you’re trapped in a hodgepodge of azure, amorous waves cresting into an amorphous deluge of clicks and industrial harmonies finally crescendoing into a cacophony of color, light, and obscenity. As a turn for the better and with percussion and basslines that wrap around your neck, Yasuharu Motomiya completely transforms "Carpiato" into a dance around the campfire. Motomiya juxtaposes reality and synthesis all while introducing guest appearances of Die Haustiere’s original opus. Meanwhile, Evan Scott’s remix of "Danneggiato" offers a dance where Die Haustiere offered a mere shuffle. Far more driven with an equal helping of percussion, Evan Scott's version swells and simmers at your feet. |
